Dr. Christopher Houdek is a fellowship trained board certified Orthopedic surgeon joining EmergeOrtho in Catawba County. He a ended the University of Michigan where he graduated with a degree in Cell and Molecular Biology. He was awarded his Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine from Michigan State University in East Lansing, Michigan. He completed his residency training in Orthopedic Surgery at Michigan State University as well.
Following residency, he completed his fellowship in Sports Medicine at the Detroit Medical Center where he helped care for the Detroit Red Wings, Pistons, and Tigers. During fellowship he received advanced training in: sports medicine, ACL reconstruction, cartilage restoration, shoulder instability and rotator cuff repair, shoulder arthroplasty, and arthroscopy of the knee and shoulder.
Dr. Houdek comes to EmergeOrtho by way of Tucson, Arizona where he practiced Orthopedic Sports Medicine for the last 4 years. He was the team physician for the AHL Tucson Roadrunners and Ironwood Ridge High School.
