  PERSONAL STATEMENT
As a board certified Orthopaedic Surgeon, Dr. Timothy Kirkland specializes in the care of injuries and disorders of the musculoskeletal system. After completing a 5 year residency program in Orthopaedic Surgery at The Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, Dr. Kirkland completed a fellowship in Upper Extremity Surgery at Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston Massachusetts. Following the completion of his training, Dr. Kirkland joined Carolina Orthopaedic Specialists in 1997.

Dr. Kirkland specializes in the surgical and non-surgical care of disorders of the upper and lower extremities. This includes providing care for patients with broken bones, work related conditions, children’s injuries, arthroscopic surgery of the wrist, shoulder and knee, arm and shoulder pain, arm and hand numbness, joint and arthritis related pain, and carpal tunnel syndrome.

Our goal is to provide the highest quality of care to our patients in a relaxed and friendly environment. We strive to allow ample time during each visit to discuss your condition and encourage you to ask questions.
