  PERSONAL STATEMENT

Dr. Walker has been representing Carolina Orthopaedic Specialists in Burke County since 2006. He is a candidate member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons and is board eligible at the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons. Dr. Walker has particular interest in foot and ankle problems, as well as general orthopaedics.

Dr. Walker attended the University of Tennessee for his under-graduate study where he obtained a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in electrical engineering. He worked as an electrical engineer for several years before pursuing a career in medicine. He attended medical school at the University of Tennessee in Memphis, Tennessee. He completed his internship and residency at Louisiana State University Hospital in Shreveport, Louisiana. He also completed a fellowship in adult reconstructive foot and ankle surgery at Cincinnati Sports Medicine and Orthopaedic Center under G. James Sammarco, M.D.

He currently lives in Granite Falls, North Carolina where he enjoys the abundant outdoor activities available in North Carolina.
