Dr. Earl Walker is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon with fellowship training in adult reconstructive foot and ankle surgery. He has been representing EmergeOrtho in Burke County since 2006 and is board-certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. Dr. Walker has particular interest in foot and ankle problems as well as general orthopaedics.
Dr. Walker attended The University of Tennessee for his undergraduate studies, where he obtained a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in electrical engineering. He worked as an electrical engineer for several years before pursuing a career in medicine. He attended medical school at The University of Tennessee in Memphis, Tennessee. He completed his internship and residency at Louisiana State University Health in Shreveport, Louisiana. He also completed a fellowship in adult reconstructive foot and ankle surgery at Cincinnati SportsMedicine & Orthopaedic Center under G. James Sammarco, M.D.
He currently lives in Connelly Springs, North Carolina, where he enjoys the abundant outdoor activities available in North Carolina, and he sees patients at our practice locations in Morganton and Valdese.
