Dr. Timothy Kirkland is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon with fellowship training in hand and upper extremity surgery.
After completing a five-year residency program in orthopaedic surgery at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, Dr. Kirkland completed a fellowship in upper extremity surgery at Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston Massachusetts. Following the completion of his training, Dr. Kirkland joined EmergeOrtho in 1997.
Dr. Kirkland specializes in the surgical and nonsurgical care of disorders of the upper and lower extremities. This includes providing care for patients with broken bones, work-related conditions, children's injuries, arm and shoulder pain, arm and hand numbness, joint and arthritis-related pain, and carpal tunnel syndrome as well as performing arthroscopic surgery of the wrist, shoulder, and knee.
Dr. Kirkland currently sees patients at our practice locations in Hickory and Newton.
